“Maujan Hi Maujan” Film Review

1. Story/Concept:

The captivating narrative of “Maujan Hi Maujan” is skillfully crafted by Vaibhav-Shreya. The story revolves around four siblings, three brothers, and one sister. Here’s the twist: the brothers are specially-abled, with one being deaf, another unable to speak, and the third living with blindness. Gippy Grewal flawlessly portrays the character of the blind brother, while Karamjit Anmol takes on the role of the speech-impaired sibling, and Binnu Dhillon showcases his talent as the visually impaired brother. Hashneen Chauhan shines in the role of their sister. These three dedicated brothers embark on a journey to ensure their sister’s marriage to her beloved, Jimmy, portrayed by Jimmy Sharma. The movie’s witty dialogues are the creation of Naresh Kathooria. “Maujan Hi Maujan” takes you on a roller-coaster ride of laughter, ensuring you stay engaged throughout.

2. Acting/Characters:

The stellar cast of “Maujan Hi Maujan” delivers remarkable performances. Gippy Grewal’s portrayal of the deaf brother is a standout, captivating the audience with his confidence, on-screen presence, and impeccable dialogue delivery. Karamjit Anmol, in a challenging role as the mute brother, leaves a lasting impression with his acting prowess. Binnu Dhillon’s performance as the blind brother showcases his versatility as an actor. Hashneen Chauhan beautifully portrays Aman, the sister of the three brothers, and Jimmy Sharma brings warmth and depth to the character of Aman’s beloved. Yograj Singh, who plays Jimmy Sharma’s father, delivers an exceptional performance, as does Nasir Chinyoti in his role as Iqbal. Every actor contributes significantly to the movie’s brilliance.

3. Direction:

Smeep Kang, the King of Comedy, not only directed the film but also graces it with his acting talent. The credit for the film’s eye-catching scenes, beautiful locations, and balanced screen time for the artists goes to Smeep Kang. While the story itself is commendable, it’s Kang’s direction that brings it to life.

4. Music:

The film’s melodious tunes are the creation of Avvy Sra & Kulshan Sandhu. The heartfelt lyrics of the songs are penned by Happy Raikoti, Kumaar, and Kulshan Sandhu. The background music and title track, integral to the film’s atmosphere, are masterfully composed by Jatinder Shah.

5. Overall:

“Maujan Hi Maujan” is a wholesome family entertainer that offers a hearty dose of situational comedy and punchy one-liners. However, the film’s brilliance lies in its ability to convey a powerful message, making it a true stress-buster. With its perfect blend of laughter and heart, “Maujan Hi Maujan” secures a well-deserved rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars from Punjabi Crowd. Be sure to catch this cinematic delight!
