Popular Punjabi actor and comedian Binnu Dhillon recently touched hearts across both sides of the India-Pakistan border with a special video that he shared on his social media platforms. In the video, Binnu Dhillon can be seen arriving at the Hussainiwala border in Ferozepur, where he was greeted by his fans from West Punjab, Pakistan.
Fans from Pakistan were visibly overjoyed as they waved enthusiastically at the beloved actor. However, due to strict border regulations enforced by the BSF (Border Security Force), Binnu Dhillon was not allowed to physically meet his fans. Although the two groups were separated by a visible line of control, the emotions shared between them were palpable.
As Binnu Dhillon approached the border to greet his fans, the BSF officers stepped in to prevent any close interaction. Although the physical distance could not be crossed, the connection between Binnu Dhillon and his Pakistani fans was undeniable. This poignant moment is representative of the larger emotional gap created by the historic Partition, which continues to affect the lives of many even today.
An Emotional Tribute through Poetry
Alongside the video, Binnu Dhillon shared a heartfelt poem in the caption of his Instagram post. The poem beautifully expressed the pain of separation, the nostalgia of a united Punjab, and the longing for connection between the two sides of the border.

ਲਹਿੰਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਓਂਦਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਹਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ
ਖੌਰੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਓ-ਦਾਦੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਭੋਏਂ ਤੇ ਹਲ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ,
ਮੇਰਾ ਨਮਨ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਰਾਹਗੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਓਸ ਵੰਡ ਨੂੰ ਝੱਲਿਆ ਏ
ਪੱਛੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਗਦੀ ਵਾਅ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਓਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਘੱਲਿਆ ਏ”
In addition to the emotional tribute, Binnu Dhillon also tagged @bsf_india in his post, showing his respect for the security forces while expressing the pain of being unable to meet his fans from across the border.
